Human-centered AI-mediated interviewing

How do job applicants experience AI-driven interviews, and how do system behaviors shape their trust, anxiety, agency, and perceptions of the organization? My research examines the limitations of existing AI interviewers and explores how interactive features, feedback, transparency, and human-like communication cues can improve the interview experience. Using interviews, surveys, system design, and controlled experiments, I aim to develop AI-mediated interviewing systems that are more responsive, supportive, and respectful of applicants.

AI-supported collaborative visual sensemaking

How do people collaboratively interpret complex visual information, and when does facilitation help them develop a shared understanding? My research examines how groups move from observing visual evidence to discussing, interpreting, and resolving competing explanations. Using interaction analysis, dialogue coding, and controlled user studies, we aim to design AI facilitators that support productive discussion without interrupting or replacing participants’ reasoning.

AI-supported reflection for collaborative learning

How can reflection between meetings help learners remain focused, aligned, and prepared for their next collaboration? My research explores how AI-generated prompts can encourage learners to reflect on previous discussions, recognize gaps in their understanding, and plan their next steps. Using theory-driven system design and controlled user studies, I aim to develop adaptive reflection tools that support deeper thinking and sustained collaborative learning.
